Sigma welcomes women with an interest in bettering themselves and the world. Sigma holds annual Safe Space trainings for our members to make sure they take time to have difficult conversations about the importance of diversity and respect. Our purpose is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual. We host several events throughout the year, such as bake sales and an annual poster sale to raise money and awareness for our philanthropy, Homeward Bound Pets. Sigma Kappa Sorority is a national women's organization founded at Colby College in 1874. Through communication and cooperation, we seek to build friendships that last a lifetime. Sigma sisters are active in sustainability and several other clubs on campus.
